All Consuming Fire, You're Our Hearts Desire, Living Flame of Love Come Baptize Us

I recently have been the biggest fan of this song, by Misty Edwards. It is so powerful and some how the Holy Spirit grips at my heart every time I listen to these words. Me and my friend Sar looked up a few verses that contained the words "consuming fire" we found Isaiah 30:27 "See the name of the Lord comes from afar, with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke his lips are full of wrath and his tongue is a consuming fire. It is also in Hebrews 12:28-29 "Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannont be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptable with reverence and awe for our "God is a consuming fire."

So blog followers if you couldn't tell but I'M IN MYRTLE BEACH!!! It is so beautiful and the sun is blazing hot. I couldn't imagine having a better summer. I have been here for about 6 days and I am starting to get used to it. I am trying to take it all in and remember everything {because for those who know me I have the worst memory ever} So let me tell you what we have done so far,
  • Gone to the beach
  • Evangelised {to strangers on the beach}
  • Group games {scavenger hunts and signs}
  • Dinners
  • Bible Study
  • Work {at a grocery store, I might add}
I am getting to know all of the people here and they are so easy going and it's amazing because we are all here for the Glory of our Father and we can share that passion together. My Bible Study consists of about 6 girls and we all have crazy personalities, it has been a blast. We started reading the book of Mark written by John Mark. we have read 1:1-15. In Mark, he writes about how the Messiah is coming, people must repent and believe the good news. It is an urgent message to the people, they must make a straight path for the Lord. John is not even worth enough to untie Jesus' sandals he is letting the people know that is how powerful and holy our Lord is. The people living there thought the "king" would save them from the Romans but in reality he was going to save them for eternity. There is so much that we have dissected and studied so far, I pray that whoever I talk to or who reads this will also follow along and read too.

I have shared a few times on the beach as well, this is part of our outreach of Summer Project. We learned how to share our testimony with others and to explain the gospel to them. So far I have talked to about 12 people and it has been a blessing. I love to hear from other people and what they believe.

Today I had a very long day at work, right when I got crabby I prayed about my friends and for this summer. A few minutes later an older lady was wondering the aisles and I asked her if she needed help, she said "No, thank you." She then asked if I was apart of Campus Crusade, I said, yes I am. Apparently she was very involved when it first started at her school in the '50's, she was even on staff. I got to share my testimony with her and how I became a Christian. I just think God is so funny because just yesterday I met with my discipler and she said that it is important to have the story so other people can relate and you can become more relatable. Other people will have sympathy. it was a great experience for me and I soon told all my friends about what happened.

I know this is a very jumpy post but more will soon come, I just wanted to keep all of you up to date and I appreciate the support and prayers. Thank you so much. God is using all of us and I can't wait to tell my story.

{Keep us in your prayers and thanks again for all the support, I promise to keep you updated}

Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
